When inmates are in jail they do a lot of work for the community. Only low risk or if they are coming to the end of their sentences. They work with dogs for the blind, the inmates train the dogs over a few months. Also inmates make toys for children from poor backgrounds. They make furniture for office's, school's and homes. These jobs also look on an inmates record too. 

Super Max Visiting Order

Here I want to talk about how a Super Max inmate gets a visit. Most inmates that are housed in a Super Max are their for being bad boys. They are put their for killing other inmates, fighting and also an escape risk.
Now these inmates still can have visits, but they do have to be put on a list that each person is looked into, their past and their police record. Also each visitor will have to be part of the inmates family. They then send of a form to the visitor for the day they want to come. All visits will be from behind thick glass, with the use of a phone that they can be able to talk to each other. Their is also a time limit on the visit too, up to two hours per visit.
The inmates still have to go through a strip search before and also after each visit. Their is also a guard that will also sit in on the visit too.

The Use Of Cuffs And Shakles.

I wanted to post this little video to show how the law use cuffs and shakles to move suspects  and inmates around. This could be in jail, prison, court or just to be moved to a car or prison van.

Welshboy Rant 5

Just been watching the news that is of the 5/8/14. It seems a parole hearing of two murders that want to be placed in an open prison has been making a lot of fuss. The inmates are Michael Brown and Gary Humpton. Well the family of the victim that the two men killed made a plea to the judge not for them to be moved at all. I don't know how many times they have asked to be moved. The vicims family was not in court they read their plea by video link. They then over hear the judge say that their views would make no difference in what would happen to the pair, and if they should move to an open prison or not. A mike was left on so the faimly could hear all that was going on in the court room.
 
 So if that is the case why have the family make their views known to the review board?. I think the families should be able to have a say in what happen's to the men that killed their loved ones. Just to put the views  out their so the court know how  they feel. I know that this happen's all the time at parole reviews in the USA.. The courts should let the families know what is going to happen at all times. 

Super Max Prison Russia

I have been looking a lot at the inmates Super Max Prisons from around the world in these few photos I have posted, they are from the Super Max Prison The Black Dolphin in Russia. Where the inmates are locked in their cells 23 hours per day. There is also no canteen for the inmates to go to. They get all their meals  in their cells, and what I have read is that at this prison they only get chicken soup, that's it. I have  seen a  number of small films about the Russian prisons and their seems to be a few levels that an inmate can be housed in. In the last few years their is one prison that is famous around the world The Black Dolphin Prison have had a few film crews showing what an inmates life is like at this prison, and at the time of writing not one inmate has escaped from their.

In a later post I will go into more depth about the working of this Super Max Prison in Russia over 700 inmates are housed their. The weather is brutal in this part of the world were the winters are very cold, its know wonder their have been no escapes.
