First read part 1.
Part 2.
When the inmate is called down to the visiting room this can take up to an hour. How is this possible?. Well the inmate could be at work, which is at the other side of the prison,at each turn their are so many locked doors that the inmate has to pass through. As the inmate passes through each locked gate he has to be pat frisked, then if he does have anything on him that he should not, then he is striped searched which takes time.
When the inmates get to the visiting room then this time he goes through a full strip search. The family are not aloud to pass anything to the inmate or the inmate is not aloud to pass anything to the family member.
At first seeing each other the inmate is aloud to embrace their visitor. Hands can be held but no more. The only food that can be eaten is from the canteen that is in the visitors room, coffee, tea, and soft drinks can all be drunk here too.
At all times an officer is moving around the room to make shore all is in order. With five minutes to the end of the visit a call is made to the room for last goodbyes. Each inmate must stay in his chair until all visitors have left the room. Then the inmates can leave the room too. Then each inmate waits his turn to go through a full strip search again, before going back to his cell or to his work place.
