Prison/Jails-Holidays

As we have just had Easter I want to look at what life is like for inmates over the state holidays.
Not much changes in the prison/jails. The changes that do happen are at Christmas and holidays were most countries give their inmates a different meal on the state holidays. It was different in the first part of the 20th century, were inmates were given holiday treats as in candy bars on the bank holidays IE Christmas Day. Much better food made from the best cuts of meat and vegetables. Also their is a different layout of the visiting day. Where their are less visits and also less officers are on duty, which means the inmates are locked in their cells for more hours of the day. This can also happen on the weekends too. Where so many prisons have a skeleton staff on duty. So in many prisons that's when unrest can happen and riots unfold, this is where good training of a prison guard is needed.
